John Kerry - War Hero Or War CRIMINAL?
Tuesday, March 09, 2004
Democrats have been making incessant references to John Kerry as a "decorated war hero". However, the facts relating to his service in Vietnam raise serious questions about his conduct during the war. Let's examine his testimony before the U.S. Senate. He stated that he witnessed war crimes by American forces in Vietnam. If that is true, then Kerry was either complicit in those crimes or he was a coward. Kerry was a U.S. Navy officer during his tour of duty in Vietnam (all 4 months as opposed to the usual 13 months of required service by others). I ask him the following questions: Senator Kerry, if you witnessed a war crime, why didn't you arrest those who committed the alleged crimes? Senator Kerry, if you had knowledge of war crimes being comitted by American forces, why didn't you report this information to your superior officers and to the Naval JAG? I never expect Senator Kerry to respond to these questions. There can only be two reasons why he did not arrest or report war criminals while he was in Vietnam. John Kerry was either complicit in the criminal actions that he says he witnessed or he was a coward. In either case, he shares the guilt of those that he alledges comitted war crimes. He was a U.S. Naval officer, he must either prevent a crime from being comitted or report it when it happens. Failure to do either of those things is a criminal act in itself. In either case, John Kerry's actions were despicable and they were criminal. More questions arise from his actions that have been deemed "heroic" by his supporters. John Kerry's boat came under fire from an enemy soldier hiding along a riverbank. The crew of Kerry's boat immediately fired upon that soldier with 50 caliber machine guns. The enemy soldier was severely wounded after his hiding position was raked with fire from the boats heavy caliber guns. Then came Kerry's "heroic" moment. He ordered his boat to the shorline, got off the boat walked over to the unarmed, wounded soldier and finished him off with a few shots from his pistol. That was murder. Imagine the outcry from the American people if an unarmed American soldier was lying wounded on the groud and a terrorist finished him off. Kerry's killing of this enemy soldier was cold blooded murder, there was nothing heroic about his actions. In addition, when Kerry left his boat so he could finish off a wounded enemy soldier, he endangered his entire crew. If other enemy forces had been nearby, Kerry's crew would not have been able to return fire without hitting Kerry and they would have been unable to retreat without leaving Kerry on the shore. This could have been a disaster for the entire crew. Kerry's actions on that day were criminal, cowardly and irresponsible. During his 4 month tour of duty Kerry received 4 purple hearts. The wounds he suffered for his medals were so minor that he only missed one day of duty for 4 wounds. The other 3 wounds were literally nothing more than scrathes. Many military sources who are familiar with Kerry's tour in Vietnam believe he received his medals because of his close ties to Senator Ted Kennedy. When Kerry returned to the U.S. he was still a U.S. Naval officer and yet somehow he managed to work on a Democratic candidate's political campaign. Why was Kerry able to engage in anti-war activities while he was still on the U.S. Navy payroll as a reserve naval officer. John Kerry is also a perjurer. He has admittedly made false statements under oath before the U.S. Senate during it's hearings on the Vietnam War. In addition, he admittedly encouraged others to commit perjury during those hearings. I think the facts reveal that John Kerry is a liar, a coward and a war criminal.
